April
April Cantafio Classes: Holistic Yoga Flow,
Sunrise YogaTo this day I am intrigued as to how I jumped into my first yoga class 10 years ago (2000). As a shy and cautious girl I rarely strayed into the unknown, and to be honest I knew nothing about yoga, but there seemed to be some kind of energetic pull that drew me there that day and continued to draw me deeper as the years passed by. I began to understand and value the unification of the body, breath and stillness of the mind. Balance and union eventually carried from my mat into my life, clarity and awareness developed. Yoga has guided me to create a deeper connection and has allowed me to develop relationships both internally and externally.
Over the years my practice naturally led to teaching, as I taught my first class in 2004. Although I was nervous it was an exhilarating experience. I enjoyed sharing the wonderful gift of yoga, the gift of the breath, and knew then and there that teaching would be a path I would explore more deeply in the future. From that point on I subbed the occasional class under the guidance of my instructors Deb and Lacie Cosgrove. However, it wasn't until finishing my Bachelor of Design that I was able to take my training and practice to an even deeper level. First completing my 200YTT Ashtanga training with Rameen Peyrow, then traveling to India to study with Yogi Vishvketu at his ashram for the 200YTT Akhanda (Holistic Yoga) training. Completely falling in love with anything yoga.
I truly believe that yoga has guided me in ways that I may not even realize and thus have chosen to dedicate this life to the discovery of the atma, the true self, the true soul. Looking forward to what lies ahead, to learn and share with my teachers and students. Always looking from the heart… namaste.
April is a registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance and has taken trainings and workshops both locally and internationally (200YTT Akhanda Yoga with Yogi Vishvketu, 200YTT Ashtanga and 200 YTT Sattva with Rameen Peyrow).

Beginner Yoga"Yoga is ten percent theory and ninety percent practice" - Sri Krishna Pattabhi Jois
I believe that everyone can practice Yoga, and that everyone should practice Yoga. My journey began about 15 years ago; it started slow but has become a very important part of my life. My practice evolved from a home based practice, to attending classes at various studios in Edmonton and Spruce Grove, and now completing the Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Program. I enjoy teaching people of all ages, and find that once a person becomes open to discovering the benefits of Yoga it becomes part of a life long journey toward good health. Yoga has changed my life, as it does for most people that practice
Keira
Keira Burgess Classes: Relax & Restore Yoga
Intrigued and inspired by all that yoga has to offer, Keira was introduced to yoga by a friend, and hasn't looked back since. With experience as a dancer in her youth, Keira found an immediate comfort in the physical connection of yoga. As her experience with yoga grew, so did her awareness of the beauty of the mental, spiritual, energetic and universal connections that yoga has to offer. Keira loves having the opportunity to guide others along the yogic path towards enlightenment.
Monique
Monique Paulson Classes: Yoga Flow,
Yoga GrooveComing from a dance background, I came to discover yoga about six years ago as a way to stay flexible and in shape. I was attracted to the physical aspect of what yoga could do for my body rather than my mind. As the years continued on, I began to dip my toes into other styles of yoga, dance and alternative therapy. It wasn't until three years ago when my journey took a drastic turn into holistic health where I began to learn about meditation and spirituality. This is when I took another look at yoga and what it was truly about. I began to utilize yoga in my daily life as a beautiful tool to stay grounded and centered in today's changing world. I found this amazing community of loving teachers and fellow "yogis" who provided valuable insight and support along my path and I only hope to share this beautiful practice with others. Yoga is a way of life and it is an ongoing exploration and dance into one's own heart and soul. Namaste
Tracy
Tracy Montgomery Classes: Yoga Flow
Yoga is so much more than the asanas (poses) and the physical body. It is every facet of an individual’s being, on and off the mat. It has guided me in who I am and who I want to be. It has given me patience, acceptance of self and others, and a connection within myself and my spirit that I never knew existed. It has opened my mind and my heart to my true self and to others with respect and without judgment. Lastly, but not least, it has given me balance, clarity, and peace. On my mat, I truly am me.
Yoga is a journey within the self and for the self. As a Yoga Teacher, it is my intention to guide you in whatever way you may need to begin and to move forward on your journey with yoga. I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to share this with every student I can, on and off the mat.

Vanessa
Vanessa Pouliot Classes: Kid's Yoga, Prenatal Yoga
Vanessa Pouliot was first introduced to yoga in 2008 as a self-care technique through the Holistic Health program at Grant MacEwan University. Vanessa's fast-paced lifestyle was full of stress and she rarely found time to spend on one of her main values; personal growth. Upon practicing yoga for the first time, she instantly fell in love! Yoga allows her the opportunity to slow down, appreciate herself, and focus on her growth from a mind-body-spirit perspective. This is the teaching she brings into her classes as she assists her students to find a sense of peace, balance, and connection, while focusing on continual growth.
