  • Passive AMT Techniques

  • Active AMT Techniques

  • Myofascial Cupping Integration

  • Soft Tissue Mobilization Science

  • Trigger Point Therapy

  • Anatomy and Kinesiology Refresher

Why Take This Course?

AMT bridges the gap between traditional soft tissue release and functional rehabilitation. You’ll gain hands-on experience applying manual therapy in a dynamic, client-involved setting.

Techniques taught in AMT are intended to:

  • Increase functional range of motion

  • Reduce trigger point pain and perceived stiffness

  • Improve neuromuscular communication

  • Address fascial restrictions and soft tissue adhesions

  • Enhance proprioceptive feedback and motor control

These techniques can be integrated before rehabilitation exercises to optimize motor output and prevent future dysfunction.

Note: AMT techniques are not a substitute for medical treatment and should not be used without clearance for acute injuries or pain of unknown origin.

How AMT Benefits Your Clients and Enhances Your Clinical Practice

Active Muscle Therapy (AMT) is a powerful, movement-based approach designed to address a wide range of musculoskeletal issues by combining manual therapy, functional assessment, and client-centered care.

Conditions and Client Goals Addressed:

  • Chronic Pain: Reduce discomfort from ongoing issues such as low back pain, neck tension, and migraines by targeting underlying muscular and fascial dysfunction.

  • Sports Injuries: Support recovery from strains, sprains, and overuse injuries through precise tissue release and functional rehabilitation strategies.

  • Postural Imbalances: Correct structural misalignments and dysfunctional movement patterns that contribute to pain and compensatory tension.

  • Rehabilitation Support: Help clients recover from surgeries or injuries by restoring range of motion, reducing scar tissue, and reestablishing healthy movement patterns.

How AMT Is Applied in Clinical Practice:

  • Assess postural alignment, soft tissue restrictions, and movement limitations using both visual and hands-on screening methods

  • Develop and deliver individualized treatment protocols that target client-specific concerns

  • Combine AMT with complementary modalities such as myofascial cupping, IASTM, and neuromuscular techniques for greater therapeutic impact

  • Use both active and passive movement with palpation to release adhesions and improve functional range

  • Educate clients with tailored home care, including mobility work, corrective exercises, and strengthening routines to reinforce and maintain progress between treatments

+ Conditions & Dysfunctions You’ll Learn to Treat

In this course, you’ll gain the knowledge and techniques to help clients manage and recover from conditions such as:

  • Chronic neck and back pain
  • TMJD and tension headaches
  • Myofascial restrictions
  • Trigger points and referred pain
  • Postural imbalances
  • Limited mobility and repetitive strain injuries
  • Shoulder impingement and frozen shoulder
  • Sciatica and nerve entrapment syndromes
  • Rotator Cuff Injuries
  • Biceps Tendinopathy
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Scapular Dyskinesia
  • Impingement Syndrome
  • Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
  • Non-Specific Low Back Pain
  • Gluteal Tendinopathy
  • IT Band Syndrome
  • Postural Distortions (Upper/Lower Crossed Syndromes) Each condition will be explored through:
  • Functional movement analysis
  • Tissue palpation and assessment
  • Soft tissue mobilization and release strategies
  • Integration of cupping and client movement for enhanced outcomes
