Movement Teachers
Alethea - RYT200
My yoga journey began ten years ago when my family and I moved here from BC. We had just welcomed a new baby boy into our already busy family and in the midst of raising five boys, I was in a constant state of feeling overwhelmed and disconnected, with excuses of being “too busy” to even take a deep breath or give myself the care I needed. The gym was so unappealing to me and my attempts at an at-home work out were feeble at best. I had expressed some interest in trying yoga but fear that I was not “flexible enough” held me back until I received a mat and a month long membership at a local studio from my husband and I figured I had no choice but to try it! I had to dig deep to find the courage to attend that first class and I am so glad that I did! I had no idea what I was doing, I felt lost the whole time and it was really challenging, yet I left that day feeling energized and confident! I had never really experienced anything like it – a full hour with no interruptions, an hour of connecting and paying attention to my body – it was kind of magical! After only a few classes, I began to notice subtle changes in my flexibility and strength but, more fascinating to me (and my family) was the sense of calmness that began to seep into my mind, a feeling of space and acceptance that began to influence my daily life; almost as if there was now some space between my thoughts and my reactions, a “softening around the edges.” Looking back, it is so amazing to see how yoga has changed my life, or perhaps, more so, how it has changed my perspective. Yoga has been an invitation to grow and learn, to go deeper, to explore, to allow and to accept. It is a lifelong practice that is always available and meets me right where I am. Each time I get on my mat I am reminded that I am whole and grounded, and I take that awareness with me wherever I go. I love being able to share that with others, to create a safe space for people to explore this practice and discover, for themselves, the beauty and depth that is within.

Anna Brus - RYT200 & EQF
My name is Anna. My love for working with the body began in early childhood. I started dancing and doing track and field at the age of 4. Five years ago, I realized that this passion has been with me my whole life, and I truly love it. This allows me to share my experience, love for bodywork, and knowledge with others. I completed training in three different schools and obtained certifications in RYT 100, RYT 200, and EQF-4. I love teaching yoga because it’s a powerful tool that has greatly helped me in my own life. Yoga transforms not only the body but also the inner state of mind. I love feeling my body mobile and flexible, just as nature intended, and I enjoy helping others return to this state. One of my favorite topics is breathwork. I understand how it impacts the nervous system and biochemical processes in our body, which is why I include it in every class. I believe you’ll fall in love with its effects once you try it.

Tuesdays 6:45 - 7:45pm Qigong Flowing Meditation
Qigong is an energetic health and wellness practice that includes postures, breathing techniques, flowing movements, acupressure massage and meditations. It is a fundamental component of Traditional Chinese Medicine. "Qi" means "vital energy" and "gong" means to cultivate. The class is open to all levels, body types and ages. It can be done standing, seated in a chair or lying down. Qi flows in our body in rivers known as meridians. These meridians can become blocked by stress, unhealthy lifestyle choices and emotions. By practicing qigong, you help to open these meridians so that the qi can flow bringing healing to your body, mind and spirit. People who practice qigong have a goal to improve their physical health, mental wellbeing and vitality for life. It brings harmony to your body and a sense of peace and tranquility to your mind.
Please wear comfortable clothing. You can bring a mat if you prefer to stand with some cushion under your feet. Please bring a water bottle. Chairs are provided for the seated meditations.

Hailey Allan
Hailey has been teaching yoga since 2014, and is a 900 hour certified teacher. Her studies have taken her from Edmonton to the Himalayen mountains in Rishikesh India – where she has had the privilege of working with many notable teachers. Teachers who have lead her down a path of mystery and self-exploration, always guiding her back to her true nature. Through years of practice, learning and integration, she has formed her own style of teaching which combines several lineages (mainly ancient Chinese and ancient India). Her classes are instinctively lead, heartfelt and strong! Hailey is intuitive to the needs of the class, and likes to connect to the energy in the room. She enjoys easing into the practice gracefully, challenging practitioners through the Asana and carving out enough space for Savasana, relaxation and meditation at the end of class. She loves the transformational aspect of yoga - the way the practice allows us to alchemize denser energies into higher levels of consciousness, connection and wholeness! Her personal practice is what anchors her back into the now! to the wisdom that lies within body and breath. It’s through her own self- awareness that she has learned to hold space for others to connect back to their truest selves, something she loves to witness : ) Whether she’s out exploring in nature, spending time with close family & friends, running, swimming, cooking or delving into Astrology - it is all done through the lens of yoga. She believes that integrating the practice off of the mat is where the true magic lies ! And cannot wait to share this gift with you ! Namaste

September 20th 2:00-4:00pm Lean into Stillness – A Wall Yin Yoga Practice
A slow, grounding two hour Yin practice supported by the wall, created to honour the quieting energy of fall. As the season turns toward stillness, this class invites you to lean into longer holds, supported shapes, and gentle traction that helps the body release what it no longer needs. Using the wall as an anchor, we explore shapes that open the lungs and large intestine meridians—pathways connected to autumn’s themes of letting go, clarity, and breath. Expect spacious holds, subtle acupressure, and time to settle deeply into the body’s quieter layers. This practice moves at an unhurried pace: long, supported postures, slow transitions, and moments of silence that echo the season’s invitation inward. The wall becomes a steady companion, offering grounding, stability, and a sense of being held as you soften into release. You’ll leave feeling clearer, steadier, and gently renewed—like the air after the leaves have fallen.
Perfect for: anyone craving grounding, deep rest, gentle opening, and a seasonal reset.
All levels welcome. No experience necessary.
Jackie Schoenberger - RYT200
I’m a 200-hour certified yoga teacher with over a decade of experience teaching in St. Albert. My teaching philosophy continues to grow and evolve—just like life—but at its core is a deep desire to help others connect to life force energy (prana) through movement, breath, and stillness of mind. I’m also a certified Feng Shui practitioner and House Therapist, and I love weaving together these ancient practices. Both yoga and Feng Shui work with energy to create greater harmony, health, and well-being—on the mat, in our homes and in our lives. I look forward to meeting you and sharing this journey together!

Movement has always been a grounding part of my life — a way to release energy, find focus, reconnect mind, body, and spirit, and build meaningful connection with others. My path into yoga and fitness comes from a genuine love of movement, people, and growth. As an instructor, I aim to hold a welcoming, supportive space where people feel safe to arrive exactly as they are each day. I believe movement — whether yoga or strength training with weights — is an opportunity to build strength, improve how we move in daily life, and cultivate gratitude for what our bodies can do right now. My intention is to help others feel strong, supported, and confident both in and out of the studio, while encouraging self-compassion, presence, and deeper overall well-being.

Janelle Vaudan - RYT
Janelle has completed her YTT200 hours and has started towards her YTT500 because there is always so much more to learn! She has been practicing since 2003 and has focused primarily on alignment and adds in flow, gentle, restorative, and yin. She now rebels against the “should” and “it has to be this way” ideas and uses sensing into the body and the anatomy of movement to find a way for each body type to get into poses and transitions. Her favorite thing in a class is to not take it too seriously and help people love themselves just a little bit more. Her goal is to help make yoga more accessible to everyBody.

The class is centered on providing support and releasing some of the most notoriously tight muscles within the human body. This class gives space for individuals to move through both strength based postures as well as poses to encourage a sense of release and stretch.
Jeff Johnson - RYT
My first yoga experience was in 2012 when I dropped into a class with my daughter and quickly fell for the way it made my body and mind feel. I have been practicing yoga since at various studios in the St. Albert area, and have become a real enthusiast. I am trained as a pharmacist, and have worked in health care for almost thirty years. For the past 20 years, I have led health research studies as a professor at the University of Alberta, with a focus on chronic medical conditions like diabetes and obesity. I have always been interested in health, exploring and understanding what determines health and how we, individually and collectively, can positively influence our health. I consider health to mean physical, mental and social well-being and I think yoga contributes to all of these aspects of health! I completed my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with the Institute of Inner Source in St. Albert in May 2017. I am excited to combine what I know about health, our anatomy and physiology with yoga philosophies and practices, and to share that combination with others. I am so happy to be a part of the Wellness Within Movement team, and look forward to seeing you on your mat!

My journey with group fitness began in 2014 when I discovered strollercise classes at the city rec centres. I fell in love with how good it felt to feel strong in my body and to share that experience with other people, all while listening to music and being in a community. I loved taking different kinds of classes and eventually decided that I would like to teach. I earned my Group Conditioning Specialty Leader certification in 2017 and have added Cycle, Mind/Body, Pre/Post Natal, Ever Active Kids over the years and finally, in 2025, my 200 hr YTT. Group fitness brings people together from all ages and abilities and places in life and I have found it to be so impactful in my life as both a teacher and a participant. I hope to see you in class soon!

Shaelene Lenarduzzi
Movement has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It began with ballet and modern dance, but after navigating an autoimmune diagnosis, I returned to movement with a more somatic approach, one that helped me reconnect more deeply with my body. This is when I truly discovered Pilates. I wasn’t just exercising; I was listening, moving with greater awareness, and gradually building strength. Inspired to share this work with others, I completed a 114-hour Mat Pilates certification through Wellness Within. Alongside Pilates, I also guide somatic dance practices that invite intuitive movement and deeper body awareness. My teaching emphasizes the mind-body connection, supporting sustainable strength through precision, breath, and thoughtful movement.

Taylor Wideman
I have been in the Health and Wellness industry for over thirty years. I started my career in the early 80’s teaching aerobics (yes I wore the pink leotard with matching leg warmers) and from there moved into personal training and owned a large gym. After a car accident I found my way into Pilates for some rehab work and then into yoga. It was the first time in years I had actually been engaged with the exercise I was doing. I fell in love first with Pilates taking my training in early 2000 and then official Yoga training in 2011 at the Yandara Yoga Institute. I love teaching Yoga and Pilates because when taught properly it creates profound shifts in the mindbody complex. I have seen clients heal emotionally, physically and spiritually and when this happens it makes my heart sing. When you attend a class with me you can expect gentle but effective movement, that incorporates some pranayama (breathing techniques) with effective cuing to keep you engaged. My class will help you become stronger in your core and will leave you feeling relaxed and clear.

Thursdays 10:15 - 11:15am Happy Hips
Focuses on opening into your hips, back, and hamstrings. With longer held seated postures that look to release tension in the connective tissue of the body, to balance the energetic system, increase flexibility and allow us to look deep within. The class is centered on providing support and releasing some of the most notoriously tight muscles within the human body. This class gives space for individuals to move through both strength based postures as well as poses to encourage a sense of release and stretch.
